Sprucing up your Home {on the cheap!}

In the spring, when everything is fresh outside it revitalizes my spirit and makes me want to change things in my home to reflect how I feel!

I don’t want to spend a huge amount of money to update though so I found some cheap ways to bring a freshness to my home!

New Curtains
I bought curtains for eight windows and spent a little over $100 (OUCH!!). I then took them home, put them up, took them down and returned them….they just didn’t work. They looked too heavy, were too long, and just didn’t fit the room but they were the only ones I found that even remotely fit my preference. So I opted to make curtains, which took a few weeks, but look so nice now that they’re up. Oh yeah and they cost less than $30 to do all eight windows!!

HANG PHOTOS
That seems like it wouldn’t make a difference but it really does. Simply changing out the photos you already have out changes the look of a room as well! Honestly, how often do you update those pictures?

I hung pictures in three different areas and it made such a huge difference! In the bathroom, I hung a set we had taken down from another area in our home. In the living room, I hung my old window frame. In the staircase, I did spend some money purchasing frames about $25.
