My poor little guy wasn’t felling so hot yesterday and this morning I decided it was time to call the doctor. Unfortunately the doctor was full and could not get him in. But the NP in office could and thank goodness because poor G has the beginning stages of bronchitis, a rash caused by a food allergy, a yeast infection that could be a product of the allergy or the teething, an ear infection and strep. I feel awful that I didn’t take him earlier but even the NP said he didn’t act like he felt too bad. I guess he inherited that from Papa Zoom-Zoom and Daddy: don’t go unless your dying mentality.
I do have a couple of tips for when you or someone you care for is sick, to help keep track of even they’ve had medicine.
• put a post-it note on the side of the medicine bottle so you can write down the time it’s taken
• prewrite the times on a sheet of paper (or the post-it you stuck to the bottle) so you don’t have to guess at the time for the next dosage (i.e. for a four hour med: 1p, 5p, 9p and so on)
• set a timer on your smart phone or stove to go off at each hour medicine needs to be dispensed
Hopefully though all is well in your home and no one is sick!
